This is a very full 8-hour day tour. You will be picked up from your designated location between 8:30am-9am and returned between 5pm-6pm.
Bottled water and snacks are available throughout the day.
Meals will be on your own, there are several restaurants to choose from along the way.
All entrance fees are included in your tour price.
You will see these sights and attractions on your tour – the order you see them will depend on your pick up location.
Sylvan Lake/Custer State Park - one of the most beautiful places on earth, this lake and dam are a marvel to behold. If you would like, stop and take a relaxing 1 mile stroll around the lake and take lots of pictures!
Needles Highway - See the “Eye of the Needle” and pass through a narrow tunnel cut out of the rocks. Along the highway, there are many places to stop and take photos of the famous granite spires and incredible scenery.
Custer State Park Visitor Center/Wildlife Loop Road - As the second largest state park in the U.S., this 100 year old park hosts a herd of 1,200-1,400 American Bison and a plethora of native wildlife! Peruse through the visitor center to learn about the park and all it has to offer then see it all in person on the Wildlife Loop Road!
Iron Mountain Road – this amazing 17-mile road boasts 314 curves, 14 switchbacks, 3 tunnels and 3 pigtail bridges plus amazing views of the Black Hills National Forest and Mount Rushmore! Again, lots of picture opportunities.
Mount Rushmore National Memorial – Experience the Shrine of Democracy up close and personal. Tour the museum or walk right under the president’s noses on the Presidential walkway. Plan to spend 2 hours at the memorial – trust us, there is plenty to see!
Crazy Horse Memorial – See the carving in progress and learn about our native heritage at the Indian Museum of North America. Plan to spend 2 hours at the memorial – trust us again, there is plenty to see!
