Welcome to Dave's World Tours! 

We are the owners, Dave & Patty Ressler, and we're glad to have you learn more about us and the amazing area we live in.  We moved to Custer over 10 years ago after vacationing in the Black Hills for 20 years and falling in love with the beauty and majesty of the area.   Along with our dog, Sam, we enjoy the beauty of the Black Hills and explore the unique nooks and crannies of the area every chance we get!

Dave was most recently the Custer Area Chamber of Commerce Director.  As the director for 13 years, he worked extensively with the South Dakota Department of Tourism, local tourism groups and area communities to entertain travel writers and VIP’s showing them all there is to see and do in the Southern Black Hills.  Dave was instrumental in understanding how beautiful and unique this area is!  The awe inspiring granite spires, lush Black Hills National Forest, abundant National Parks and Monuments, colossal sculptures like Crazy Horse Memorial, majesty of Custer State Park, abundant wildlife, and unique food and beverage venues combine to create memories that will last every visitor a lifetime.  Dave and Patty are excited to share this all with you!  

Patty is the Executive Director of Black Hills Parks & Forests Association (BHPFA), a non-profit organization that partners with our area public lands to support wonder and exploration through their retail sales outlets.  A portion of the sales revenue goes back to the partners in support of their educational missions and to promote the future of our national parks and forests.  She is the support behind Dave's World Tours and enjoys running and hiking with Sam and riding their UTV with David and Sam throughout the Black Hills.

Our Journey

Dave’s World Tours is committed to “Keeping Life Fun!” a motto Dave has embraced for over 30 years!

Our 2017 Ford Tour van has the capacity for up to 10 people, which makes for a great touring experience!  We can stop when you want to stop, not like the big coach tours that are on a timeline.  As your tour guides, we will show you places unique to the Black Hills that you won’t see from a tour bus! You will benefit from our knowledge of the area and may even learn some “secrets” about the Black Hills. We take personal responsibility to assure every one of you, our guests, enjoys your Southern Black Hills experience and gets to see and learn what you want.
